Water Pump for Forklift - Attached to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a basic centrifugal pump which is driven by a belt. Fluid is circulated by the pump whenever the engine is running.
Using centrifugal force, the water pump sends water to the outside as it turns causing the fluid to be continually drawn from the center of the pump. The pump inlet is placed near the center. This design enables fluid coming back from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically positioned so as to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it enters the engine.
The fluid initially flows through the engine block and cylinder head prior to going out of the pump. Then the fluid works its way into the radiator before finally coming back to the pump.
